What foods can I buy?

Find a local military surplus store and get yourself some MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat). They're packaged in hermetically sealed pouches and don't need to be refrigerated. Some of the meals are just so so, but others aren't too bad. Plus they're pretty cheap. If you want to get some free food check out the resource link below.
